At Aveda, design is more than visual—it's ritual. As part of the in-house creative team, I worked at the intersection of storytelling, sustainability, and strategy, bringing new products and seasonal campaigns to life across channels. Every touchpoint was considered: from the moment someone picked up a product to the education materials guiding stylists behind the scenes. My work spanned packaging, merchandising, collateral, and tools for global salon training—always with an eye on craft, clarity, and Aveda’s deep commitment to environmental responsibility. The design was clean, but the message was layered. Beautiful, but purposeful. Aesthetics in service of something bigger.
As Art Director and Senior Designer at Aveda, April contributed to high-impact product launches, campaign rollouts, and educational programs for both internal teams and salon professionals. She collaborated closely with cross-functional partners in marketing, product development, and education to ensure consistency across touchpoints—translating brand values into design systems that educated, inspired, and converted. Her time at Aveda deepened her approach to values-led design, and shaped how she connects storytelling to sensory experience in everything she’s built since.
